Geschiedenis van Takaharju en Punkaharju
Takaharju and its almost identical 'twin brother', Punkaharju, stand on the same dune, and together they are the oldest holiday homes in Midsland aan Zee. Here you'll find the fascinating story of how they got their Finnish names.

"Where to begin? Two stark, pointed silhouettes against an equally clear blue sky. This is the view as you cycle from the forest to Midsland aan Zee. A week of light, air, scent, and sun is about to begin. The setting this house houses is yet to be discovered. Every day is different. It's like the acts in the 'play' that this truly living house plays with you. Fascinating and delightful. A place to take to your heart. Thank you."

"We had a wonderful week in this loving little house. A house that hasn't been ruined by major renovations, but has been meticulously restored and ... also designed for little ones, with games, gates, and drawing supplies.

We felt completely at home; everything is there, from a sewing basket to watercolors.
When you come downstairs in the morning, a warming yellow glow shines through the curtains. The neighbor raises the flags, and the day can begin.

That expansive beach is a paradise for little people, a giant sandbox! Thijs has created a fantastic treasure hunt for Tycho, Lucas, and Churchil.
Now, sadly, it's over. The house is tidy, the Grand Marnier is replenished, and we're about to catch the boat.
Thank you for this wonderful stay."
